This flexible workshop program is ideal for teachers looking to supplement their
Shakespeare curriculum. Living, Breathing Shakespeare introduces students to the
actor’s process - the technique employed by professional actors as they work to get
to the heart of Shakespeare’s text.

Through a single or multiple workshops (led by Capital Classics team of performers
and educators), students will come to understand and appreciate Shakespeare as
they step into the lives of his characters.

Capital Classics will design a curriculum based on a teacher’s selected text, goals
and schedule. The Living, Breathing Shakespeare program will
  • de-mystify Shakespeare by actively involving students in the text  through
    performance techniques
  • bring Shakespeare’s language and characters to life through an in-class
    performance study
  • allow the students to experience Shakespeare’s plays as performance vehicles.
