Capital Classics has been providing professional, engaging, and accessible classical theater to the Greater Hartford community for 35 years — making us Connecticut’s longest-running Shakespeare festival. And, over those years, Capital Classics has continued our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in casting, technical positions, and audience members.

Last season, Capital Classics hired more than 55 Connecticut-based artists, performers, and technicians for summer employment. Because of our growing audiences, we have even bigger plans for next summer!

• Staging TWO plays: A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Measure for Measure

• Hiring 1-2 Equity actor(s)

• Keeping our extra performances and microphones

• Expanding pre-show entertainment, concessions, and cast talk-backs

You can even find us on Venmo with the name @Capital-Classics, and the last four digits of our telephone number are 0300. And, of course, you can always mail a donation in the form of a personal or business check to Capital Classics P.O. Box 370096 West Hartford, CT 06137. Checks can be made payable to “Capital Classics Theatre Company.” And, if you make a note in the memo line, you can even tell us where to focus your donation (e.g., casting, costumes, music, lights, sound, marketing, or whatever is most important to you).
