Support OUR CAPITAL CLASSICS ARTISTS FUND
The Capital Classics Artists Fund provides competitive payments to the professional artists employed by the Greater Hartford Shakespeare Festival. Each summer, Capital Classics hires approximately 50 CT-based performers, directors, musicians, stage managers, designers, choreographers, and technicians.
Their professionalism — which comes from years of training and experience — is central to our success in producing authentic, entertaining, and artful Shakespeare for a modern audience. In fact, 80% of our annual Shakespeare Festival budget goes to hiring and compensating these professionals, who otherwise, would leave the region for summer work.
A gift of any amount will help us fulfill our mission of “providing job opportunities to Connecticut’s professional theatre artists” and keeping Connecticut’s talent in state.
If you’re a fan of our actors, and if you love our live musicians, please help us raise $10,000 to help pay salaries. Your tax-deductible donation to the Capital Classics Artists Fund will go directly towards salaries — and make a BIG impact on this summer’s Festival.
Individual donations can be made quickly, easily, and securely via credit/debit card, PayPal, and Venmo. You can also mail a check to our address below. AND, if your company has a matching program, please be sure to submit your donation for a match.
