MAKE CONNECTIONS
For 35 years, we’ve been entertaining audiences in greater Hartford. Our “Shakespeare under the Stars” program has become a staple summer event, attracting a diverse and growing crowd of over 4,100 in 2025. And, our target for 2026 is 4.500 attendees!
We’re seeking sponsors—businesses and individuals—to help fund our productions while also promoting their goods and services to our audience. Capital Classics is non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides:
Affordable, accessible and engaging classical theater to the greater Hartford community;
Job opportunities and training to CT-based performers, artists and technicians
Donations are tax deductible and 100% of your support goes to the production costs.
And, how about the economic impact of our Festival? A recent Greater Hartford Arts Council study found that audiences spend an average of $30 attending an event on things like gas, food, drinks, picnic equipment, clothes, baby sitters, and more. If you multiply our 2025 Festival attendance of 4,000 times $30 that’s an estimated community boost of more than $120,000 last year!

Promote your company to our audience with a sponsorship of the Greater Hartford Shakespeare Festival, which attracts a faithful and growing audience —many return each year. The majority are mid-career or retired professionals who live and work in greater Hartford (the majority reside in West Hartford, Avon, Simsbury, and Farmington). We also attract many families with children and newcomers to the theater. A sponsorship is also a wonderful way recognize or honor a loved one by supporting our Festival and the arts in Greater Hartford.
