Capital Classics Theatre Company is seeking Connecticut based, non-Equity stage actors for the 2026 Greater Hartford Shakespeare Festival productions of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Sasha Bratt, and Measure for Measure, directed by Brian Jennings, in repertory. Actors may be cast in both or individual shows.

Initial auditions will be by video submittal only.

Please provide a 1-minute dramatic Shakespeare monologue and a 1-minute comedic Shakespeare monologue. Please make sure to give enough space on your video frame for full-body physicality.

Deadline for submissions is 3/29/26.

In-person call backs to be held April 19 in West Hartford, CT.

Rehearsals begin in West Hartford on May 30 and run Tuesdays-Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Performances Wednesdays-Sundays, July 8 through August 2, 2026 on the campus of the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT.
